Obituary

James Thomas Cloer, was born August 31, 1925, in Wilkes County, son of the late William and Emma Reavis Cloer. He attended Wilkes County Schools, and entered the United States Army on April 28, 1945. James received a World War II Victory Medal, and an Honorable Discharge on February 12, 1947. He was self-employed as a professional painter, and took great pride in his work, as long as his health permitted. On Monday, April 10, 2017, he died in Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. James is survived by two sons, Robert G. Dale Cloer of Lansdale, PA, and Danny Cloer of Brandonton, FL; three daughters, Kathryn Mullen of NJ, Penny (Daniel) Winters of SC, and Sherry (Terry) Page of Tampa, FL; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
